The Governance boards are the executive bodies and external supervisory advisory bodies attached to Fraunhofer Singapore Research Ltd. (FSR LTD) and our joint research centre Fraunhofer-NTU (FSR@NTU), and consist of representatives from Fraunhofer Gesellschaft as well Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and external representatives from science and industry in Singapore.
The Executive Management and its coorprate functions are responsible for the operation and direction of Fraunhofer Singapore Research Ltd. It oversees business strategy, day-to-day operations and compliance with research objectives. It is responsible for narrowing the gap between academia and industry by fostering links between industry contacts and academic research groups.
The Executive Director and executes operational day-to-day business, oversees and is responsible for the research mission, business development strategy and financial plans of Fraunhofer Singapore and its center(s).
The Supervisory Board (Board of Directors) of Fraunhofer Singapore Research Ltd. FSR LTD acts as advisor to the CEO of Fraunhofer Singapore and controls the executive management of Fraunhofer Singapore and FSR LTD research centres. Six supervisory board members are appointed to the governing board for Fraunhofer Singapore.
The Governance Board and Steering Committee of Fraunhofer-NTU centre FSR@NTU provides guidance and advice to the Director of the Fraunhofer-NTU Research Centre (FSR@NTU) in operations of its strategic R&D programmes and directions and reports to the NTU Vice President (Research) as well as to Fraunhofer Headquarter, ensuring close alignment in strategic, operational and collaborative matters.
