FRAUNHOFER WORKSHOP SERIES (FWS) are bridging academia and industrial experts to tackle foresighted research into practical solutions. The goal is to contribute to application-oriented research and to support the transfer of academic research to the industrial domain.

The objective of FWS-03 "Advanced Ceramic Additive Manufacturing" workshop is to investigate various additive manufacturing technologies for ceramic components and ceramic-based multi-material hybrids. We will give insight on how to highly functionalize ceramic components and find out about applicable quality assurance and process optimization measures, also to address challenges and opportunities in times of “Industrie 4.0”

MICCAI 2018

The 21st International Conference on Medical Image Computing and Computer Assisted Intervention, will be held from September 16th to 20th, 2018 in Granada, Spain.

The annual MICCAI conference attracts world leading biomedical scientists, engineers, and clinicians from a wide range of disciplines associated with medical imaging and computer assisted intervention.

The conference series includes three days of oral presentations and poster sessions. MICCAI 2018 will also include workshops, tutorials, and challenges on the days preceding and succeeding the conference. The goal is to contribute to application-oriented research and to support the transfer of academic research to the industrial domain. FWS-01 "Post Quantum Cryptography in Practice" will investigate post-quantum primitives targeting the requirements of modern internet applications and resource-restricted embedded hardware architectures used in, e.g., Maritime, Smart Transportation and “Industrie 4.0”.
